At approximately 0530 on December 31st, 2020, the Suffern Fire Department was dispatched to a reported structure fire on Boulevard. Tallman Volunteer Fire Department was automatically dispatched for their F.A.S.T. team. The first arriving units arrived within moments and were met with heavy fire conditions. Suffern Hook & Ladder and Suffern Vol. Hose Co. #1 both responded and firefighters on 19-2000, the first due engine, quickly stretched multiple hand lines, operated the master stream, and established a water source from the nearest hydrant. A second and third alarm were called with additional manpower being received from Hillburn Fire Department, Mahwah Fire Company 2, Mahwah Res1cue, Sloatsburg Fire Department, and Monsey Fire Dept, Hillcrest Fire Company No. 1 and Thiells Fire Department. Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control and the scene was cleared around 9am.
